This section describes how each of the Orbow analysis or calculation tools works.

Analysis modules

Base: query the public database and extract survey data (France).

Ciso: Kriging interpolation tool for a mesh of points.

Stra: Generalization of Ciso on a multilayer. Automatic kriging interpolation of soil layer interfaces based on a network of boreholes. Generation of a 3D block and cross-sections.

Statistics modules: Pres, CPT, Labo, Gran. Modules for viewing data layer by layer, adapted by data type, and for calculating statistical values.

Pressiow: Analysis of pressuremeter tests.

Calculation modules

Fondsup: Calculation of bearing capacity and settlement of shallow foundations.

Fondprof: Calculation of the bearing capacity of deep foundations.

Excavation base: Verification of the stability of the excavation bottom with respect to the solid foxing mechanism.

Groupui: Calculation of water table drawdown from a group of wells.

Stabfront: Verification of tunnel face stability.

Tunren: Evaluation of the deconfinement rate using the convergence confinement method for tunnels.

Ecow: Evaluation of the carbon footprint of geotechnical structures and comparison of solutions.
